Drop Decay formed in 2010 by friends Tony Alfonso and Vince Lucero while still in high school. They started out as a band covering songs from Yellowcard, All Time Low, and Saosin. It was towards the end of the year when the two founding members decided that they wanted to write and play music that personifies overall fun. Through the genre of Pop-Punk they found just what they were looking for. Last 2011, the band started to make waves around the local music circuit in Cebu. They released a handful of singles on radio stations in Cebu, Monster Radio BT 105.9 and Killer Bee 92.3. They played in recognized shows like the UP Cookout and Fete De la Musique. Struggling between session members and full timers did not stop the band, because by September of that year Drop Decay was declared winner of local band competition (Beat My Band) aired on RCTV channel 36. The boys released a music video for the infectious single "I Wanna Touch You'' which has gathered close to fifteen thousand views on YouTube since its release in December 2011. As if that wasn't enough for these young guns, it was the summer of 2012 when Alex "Phat Boy" Lim (Urbandub manager and Sonic Boom Philippines founder), had seen their video for "I Wanna Touch You" and thought that they'd be perfect to open for the then-upcoming show of William Beckett, There For Tomorrow, and Every Avenue Live in Manila on June 12 at the SM North Skydome. After getting in touch with the band, the guys decided to ditch their first day of college classes back in Cebu (with the parents' permission, of course) and fly in for their first ever Manila gig. After such a promising first Manila show that had captured the teenage girls’ hearts, watch out for more of the band’s quirky adventures around the Metro. Drop Decay is Tony Alfonso (Guitars/Vocals), Vince Lucero (Lead Guitars), Job Penalosa (Drums), and Kenneth Dagatan (Bass). They recently released their debut CD- a 6 track EP entitled, GREETINGS FROM THE THIRD WORLD last May 2012 and is currently in the process of writing for a future full length set to be out this 2013. With a dash of spunk and a switchblade attitude, Drop Decay promises to usher in a new era with their own brand of Pop-Punk n roll. A L B U MAlbum1 : Greetings From The Third World
