DOGFIGHT is the premier nu-metal band from the historic town of Magallanes, Agusan del Norte, near Butuan City. The band is composed of Bong Flanco(Vocals),Christian Dacoco (Lead) ,Marvin Carba (Guitars), Erwin Nioda (Bass) and Reygan Olmoguez (Drums). These five music minded individuals formed the band during their highschool days (circa 1998-1999) and started to make noise in the local music scene in the year 2000.
Until this very day, the Dogfight is indefatigable in their crusade to spread the music scene in Mindanao. As what they have said, “We want Mindanao’s voice to be heard and we want to participate in the Philippine Music Industry. Kasi malawak po ang Pilipinas, it’s not only Manila and Cebu”.
Dogfight is known for its hard charging rhythms, emotional bass lines, double pedaled drum kicks and melodic choruses coupled with emotionally charged screams which depicts their feelings and emotions towards love, pain, desire and the omnipresent realities of life.
The band has released their self-titled EP last 2007, a product of their hard work and determination to once again prove that genuine music never dies.
April 2012 marked the release of their much anticipated self-titled album. An 11-track album which a product of the band's 12 years of friendship, perseverance and pure love for music.
