Blue Boy Bites Back is set to give a different taste to power pop with its edgy and unadulterated audio onslaught.Formed in 2005, the band from Tuguegarao went on a turbulent ride when it had to replace its existing members who had to leave to pursue other things. Originally composed of Gelo Gonzalez (vocals), Mike Lim (guitars), Mak Guevara (bass), and Kiko Calubaquib (drums), Paolo Castro was added as a vocalist on that same year giving the band two front men. Others who became part of the band were guitar players Jose Tolentino, Rain Francisco, and Ariel Lumanlan (Chicosci), and Joseph Lim. During this phase of replacements, Joel Salvador (Chicosci) and Ian Larioza also played sessions for the band. Mike, Rain, Joseph, and Kiko left, which finalized the current line up in 2009.
