HATANKARU hails from Karuhatan, Valenzuela City. Represents the pride of Valenzuela in Local Music Scene.
The brand child of Gilbert Pacariem, Roy Elinzano, Elmer Glino and Michael Villaflores. Influenced from alternative/Rock/Metal/Grunge in the 90's, Hatankaru managed to create original songs out from their musical influences and from their daily & life experiences. The band has gained quite a reputation especially from their hometown in Valenzuela.
With this experience, the band decided to compete in the 2009 MUZIKLABAN ROCK CHALLENGE and bagging the rights to be named as 2009 RED HORSE MUZIKLABAN CHAMPION. They released the single "LARAWAN" which has received airplay in the now defunct legendary rock/alternative radio station NU107. To date, the band has already recorded some materials and demos in preparation for their upcoming debut album.
