Started in 2011,Their music blasts of alternative rock, punk rock, and metal, what make their sound unique are the obvious accents of Japanese rock in their songs, and the undeniable touch of pure Pinoy rock that surely touches the hearts of their listeners. Mainly influenced by bands like New Found Glory, System of a Down, Foo Fighters, Scandal, Baby Metal, Giniling Festival, Kamikazee, Kikomachine, Itchyworms among many others, Hoodlum is locally known for making heavy, upbeat music with witty lyricism, with danceable beats and heavy breakdowns in between. Their music mostly sing of classic Pinoy humor, culture, and experiences; one that can be easily appreciated by the masses. The comic quintet created a buzz last 2013, when they released their first music video, Chupoy Chupoy, which was aired on MYX, and eventually sky-rocketed to the charts, as it went up to the thirteenth spot in the Pinoy MYX Countdown. It was also in the same year when the band released their self-titled debut record. Hoodlum released another video, Nang Ma-Inlove ang Goons Sa’yo, which was aired on MYX as well. Their fanbase would eventually be named after their single; Goons (talk about appropriate). Unfortunately last 2014, the band had to lose one of its iconic members, former bassist Ralph Joseph “Noy Ang Demonyo” Rima, due to work and family reasons. Rima became a trademark of Hoodlum on stage, wearing his famed “Noy” mask and persona, unleashing high energy while playing. Ronald “Bok” Fajardo, guitarist from Mariaveles took his place and a few months later he’s back once again. But now he was replaced by Matt Bacani, the newest member of our family. A L B U M
